Laying on the table staring at the ceiling tiles, I wondered how I had gotten into this position again, not the lying naked on a bed part, I do that most nights while staring mindlessly at the telly, the part where two men rubbed hot oil into my skin and massaged / fondled my exposed genitalia.
"Here we go again", I thought, another weird massage experience...

2 months seems to have gone by really quickly (1 and 3/4 at the mo), it has been a unique period in my life in that, I don't think I have ever had 2 months to just sit around mostly doing whatever I want. Normally when we have free time in life we try and fill it with activities. 4 weeks a year, 1 or 2 days each week, this is our alloted time in the west, and we try and use it to do the things we can't for the other 80% of our lives. So to have time to just do anything or nothing, well, it's not easy! Especially in Chiang Mai.
We are in Chiang Mai, Thailand and I am finally starting to settle into the swing of things, it only took about 2 weeks and I am now comfortable with going to bed late, sleeping in and doing whatever it is I feel like doing. And then Songkran came along.
Ahh, Chiang Mai, what wonders lie within your dingy streets and lawless lanes. What ancient marvels do you offer the wandering traveler, where do you hide your visual, visceral treats... who bloody knows, not I.
So, Bangkok, a longish bus ride with an angry driver, and viola. If your not really into loads of farang tourists, tourist tat, getting hammered and overpriced everything, stay away from the bus drop off point, Khaosan Road. If however your into Farang tourists, tat, getting hammered and overpriced everything, Khaosan Road is the mutts nuts.
