Some photos from the camera on what Calina and I dubbed the Rain trip (see what we did there). Still it was a lot of fun exploring Transylvania. We took a car from Brasov, through small towns who's name I have no chance of remembering with a prodigious amount of fortified churches, to Sighisoara, to more small towns and into Sibiu for some more old town goodness and fried potatoes on a stick.
The following day we drove the Transfagarasan through the mountains! The Transfagarasan was dubbed by the Top Gear dudes as the most fun to drive, and it was! Mostly for me, Calina's white knuckle grip on the dashboard suggests not quite as much for her, although I think in a Roller coaster kinda way . Oh and it snowed at the top!
Lots of desserts, good food, and great company. I like it here. But on the road again next week!
Amazing pictures!
Looks such an amazing and fascinating place – thanks for the pictures showing all this. Philip, my son, is a passionate follower of the ‘old’ Top Gear, and has probably watched the Transfagarasan section ‘just a few’ times!!! And I would love to drive on this ๐
Great photos
Yeah. Good for you my friend.
