That was a long couple days of travel. Today alone we got on our first bus at 7am ( much to the annoyance of people going to work who couldn't get past our giant paraglider bags) to the airport. Then on a plane to Bogota, waited 4 hours and then on another plane to Baranquilla, then on a bus which dropped us down a dodgy road somewhere so we had to walk ages with said 25kg bags in wet heat to another bus station, which we then caught to the edge of Santa Marta 2 hours away, where we had to catch a taxi to our hotel at 19:30. Saw some cool stuff but needless to say we were happy to put the bags down and go for a wander. Tomorrow le playa!

My word that was some trek. And you haven’t started your hiking yet!
I remember Peter going to New Zealand on various occasions with his ‘Grumpy Old Men Group (or was it the ‘We’re Not Dead Yet Group’) on walking trails, carrying packs like yours (they wouldn’t do the ‘cheating one – having it carried from hut to hut!
As always, love the piccies 😀
Have great time safe travels x
