Anyone know anything about self driving through Africa? Google of course has been mighty helpful but first hand experience would be good to hear. Link to original post on Facebook with more images
Welcome. I don’t use this much blog anymore, but there is still some good content here from back in the day, and I still travel a lot. Now though I just share on my Facebook and Youtube channels and then share that content here.
So after we gave up on flying because of high winds, we went and had a coffee then decided to go back for one last look. Bam! Winds were high but tandem pilots there which means fly! Fenda and I launched and had a great
Me: So you crashed your paraglider and can't lift your arm above your head, I guess you'll be taking it easy for awhile? Also me: Well, you don't need to raise your arm above your head for cardio and leg day! 😊. Great workout today.
Bit of a mixed bag today. Went up North to check out some new flying spots and one was beautiful but not flyable, so we chilled on the beautiful artificial beach brought in from who knows where. The other was too windy for me, I
No flying so far today. But lots of beach time so that’s OK. Link to original post on Facebook with more images
More flying today, not the best flights but it's all experience. Big gust on launch lifted me and flipped me around, landed on one knee and my other foot but controlled it and brought it down softly to launch more gracefully a few seconds later.
Another 2 flights today. Great landing between two lamp posts after hitting heavy sink and strong wind on the way to the beach. Felt like a ninja landing! Probably looked more like a mortally wounded chicken though… Link to original post on Facebook with more
So weird to launch with clouds like this coming from behind. But a nice little flight this morning. Up to Toucho now! Link to original post on Facebook with more images
Checked out a new launch today with my new Czech pals, Emilio and crew, but too windy. Back to Toucho and waited a few hours for it to calm down a bit, so of course suns out guns out and worked on the tan and
I am actually considering to visit you on Iceland if you think that would be ok. Its high on my list of places to se. And EVERY one I know who been there says that I have to go se it😊 Link to original post
Intense flight from Los Pinos. Big collapse after launch and shaky as hell but climbed like a mofo. Landed on the beach like a boss and so did some more experienced pilots, who said it was a bit much, which helped make me feel like
Short video of the launch in Tenerife tonight, courtesy of my Russian friend 🙂. Link to original post on Facebook with more images
Decided to go up the mountain behind me and have a flight at the last second. Went up with just the Russian fella I live with who did the driving. North wind above the mountain on a south east site, but south wind coming up
Nothing like a hike up a mountain to readjust the neurons. Link to original post on Facebook with more images
More exploring yesterday with a couple great new friends, Algut and Sonja. We went out to Taganana on the North of the island, and although it ended up not flyable it was a great day of incredible vistas, local musicians, crazy drives along cliff edges
Yesterday we went hiking at Las Gigantes here in Tenerife. Incredible scenery. Especially sitting for an hour on the cliff edge and being enveloped by a passing cloud, then watching the volcano pop its head out. We went from hot sweaty hiking to cold and
Had a real “what the hell am i doing here?” moment today. Nice place, but still… Link to original post on Facebook with more images
About 10 days of rain a year in Tenerife, seems to have started yesterday and continuing through this weekend, might be time to explore a bit. Link to original post on Facebook with more images
