One of the things I love doing when travelling is finding local gyms. Whether in Israel, Morocco, Colombia or Peru, people are always looking for the burn! Today's session was down a backstreet, three stories up, surrounded by crumbling buildings, and filled with equipment which
Welcome. I don’t use this much blog anymore, but there is still some good content here from back in the day, and I still travel a lot. Now though I just share on my Facebook and Youtube channels and then share that content here.
Well that was a hell of a journey! After a chilled day strolling in the Nazca market and fighting off some light food poisoning, we jumped on a 15 hour night bus towards Cusco. Unfortunately the bus service we chose wasn't great (Civa). Not very
Great couple days. travelled from Lima to Paracas, moving through incredibly dry desert and sparce population. Up early in Paracas to jump on a boat to the Ballestas islands which are teeming with life! Sea lions galore, penguins and more birds than you can imagine.
What a day. Started with surf lessons where as it turns out I'm a natural, standing up and surfing on the first go! 😁 Fun to try something different and new for both of us. Then after a quick bite it was straight to the
First day in Lima, Peru, mostly about eating of course. Started with the best sandwich I have ever had at a famous local spot called La Lucha Sangucharia. Chicharron, sweet potato and onions! Then off to a local market to have seafood next to the
And that’s it for Colombia! Long day of travel again and about to board our second flight from Medellin to Lima. Night has fallen and the rain is hammering down. Should be there by midnight. Adios Colombia and thanks for the memories. Link to original
And we're back from the Lost City! Spoiler alert, we found it… Day 1 From Santa Marta we jumped in an off road vehicle and made a 2 hour journey into the foot hills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. A briefing with our new
Today we head out to the jungle! Going on a 5 day hike to The Lost City. I am assuming there will be no cell service but these days who knows 😁. Santa Marta was ok for a stopping point but I can see why
Our first day at the beach today. I think Mexico spoilt me for beaches as nothing quite compares, but still nice to be in the water and we found a pretty quiet spot. I am also wondering if I’ll ever not make the mistake of
That was a long couple days of travel. Today alone we got on our first bus at 7am ( much to the annoyance of people going to work who couldn't get past our giant paraglider bags) to the airport. Then on a plane to Bogota,
Good day to travel. Adios Roldanillo it’s been fun. Link to original post on Facebook with more images
It has been a pretty chill month, we ended up not flying in our second month partly because the weather wasn't great (it started raining a lot in late February through March), partly because of all the accidents here and pretty intense conditions, and in
Great flight today! Just short of the 50km unfortunately but after 3.5 hours in the air 47km is still my best. Went from an almost bomb out kind of day to heading around the valley south to north. I couldn't make it back flying but
A couple days flying in a new spot (thanks Rob), a place called Piedecinche, with Calina and Andrew. Especially enjoyed the laughing parrots and the dinosaur models in our garden (I love things which make no sense). Nice place to fly but I bombed out
A couple days away from flying to do something a bit different for Andrew, Calina and I, travel stuff! We rented a couple motorbikes and went off to a place in the mountains about 3 hours away, here there are giant palms which are only
Good flight today. 2.5 hours and almost made it around the valley. Long journey home but a lift from a local fella out of the flat lands, and then a motorbike ride back into town was fun. Friendly people, big cloud flying and a cool
Good flight today, didn’t get far but another low save from 220 meters up to cloudbase and a speedbar glide all the way over Roldanillo to land in the backyard. Flying is bumpier than expected but great for learning. Link to original post on Facebook
Good flight today, hard work staying up and a hugely satisfying low save. Prepared to land at 170m above ground, caught a small thermal and followed a bird over the next 20 minutes all the way back up to cloudbase! Learned a lot this flight.
